I specialise in helping people just like you to overcome trauma, stress and anxiety.
Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, fear or a phobia, or feeling burnt out from stress. Perhaps you have had difficult experiences and it feels impossible to move on. You may have tried talking therapy and felt it didn’t work for you. If any of these apply to you, I’m glad you’re here reading this.
I work as an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on my training in Jungian art psychotherapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), mindfulness, somatics and parts work.
As well as providing a safe and non-judgemental space for you to talk, I also offer creative and somatic tools such as EFT tapping, making artwork, visualising, and meditation. This allows you to process not only through logic and reason by talking, but also through emotion, feeling and sensation. This second approach can be essential in the healing of highly sensitive people, those who engage in the world by intuition rather than reason, and people who have experienced trauma. Each person’s process is unique: we will discuss your needs and decide what works best for you.
I offer short-term and long-term work, both online via Zoom and in-person at two locations: my garden therapy room in Pecket Well (just outside Hebden Bridge) and at Soul Wellness Hub in Sowerby Bridge.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) helps us to heal from trauma, stress and anxiety by tapping on certain meridian points as we recall difficult memories, feelings or sensations.
I continue to be amazed by how quickly my clients often see shifts, even in just one session.
EFT is a safe and effective way to work through trauma without becoming overwhelmed - you don’t even have to tell me out loud what you are working on. It can also be used to heal self-limiting beliefs, mood disturbances, phobias, anxiety and even physical pain.
We can use purely EFT in our sessions or a combination of approaches which work for you.
